Shrine

By hearing each tick of the clock
while administered electroshock
you will return to nothing
You will forget that you were once
just a part of the flock

An insurmountable wall to scale
It wasn't you that pierced the veil
Given the key to nowhere
now you, now here
The finale of chasing your own tale

The inner voice says to remain calm
while in your hands you hold a bomb
Hermetically sealed tomb
of God and Law
has to crack before fits of an angry mob

He died for me he never died
The angry mob has no compassion to cry
Don't know if I deserve such a gesture
but I'll leave the door ajar
to fill that space inside

Reading the symbols and seeing some sign
of a piezoelectric paradigm
I am you and you are mine
We are home in love sublime
in the shrine of everlasting life

Dark Angel

You lost yourself on purpose
by the hands of a stranger
You ignored the crossing guard
Head first into the danger
Like a dark angel feeling worthless
searching for an oasis, hoping to hold the reigns of pain
You thought you had no right to feel anger
to seek your own applaus
to live your own verses

From cradle to grave you might have had it made
Never an unbroken chain, but because
sometimes it's only when you're broken and deranged
little and helpless, hoping there is someone else to blame
You beg for forgiveness
from yourself with no pause
with your life in flames
