Alight

From inside my body shining
with the light of the moon
altered and diffused
Every photon trapped briefly
before going on for eternity
Even wings would be obnoxious
in the way of this bliss
Gravity a thing long forgotten
Lift cannot be helped
Nothing tangible felt
Just what is spinning inside
each solitary medicant's life

We have to be groomed again and again
has to be proof that our love is pure
but the light of the moon
trickles slow like early morning dew
Every morning distilled through
an incandescent lens
by the power of our Deva's rays
like great strings tuned into our beings
Vibrate and shake
with every gasp we take
One more push at the starting gate
to determine our collective fate

We are the swan of each sun and moon
Each day is the spring in which we
                                                           bloom
