Amal means hope in Arabic
Hope died yesterday.
A girl called Amal,
She just made it to age seven.
Many kids don't when
they are born in Yemen.

It takes a soulless machine
to sink to such a low
I don't want to believe
that we have no control
We must fight the bullies
Raytheon, Lockheed, the wretched Saudis
before Yemen's children are gone

The genocide of Yemen is diabolic
Trapped like innocent prey.
The vicious House of Saud, the predators.
May all of their victims find
                    peace in heaven
May all survivors rise up today
All are Houthis now who defend Yemen.

Amal's malnourishment was chronic.
Her mom and dad are severely dismayed
For lack of food she and her siblings
                                                         so small.
The bombings and sanctions
                                      cannot be forgiven
Damn their shameful display
While nobody comes to the
                                       rescue of Yemen
