Have you ever felt-though not asleep-
You cannot wake from a dark dream
From a whisper you hear a scream
It’s a deep crevasse from which it seems you’ll never be freed
Your perception is deception
and you feel worth less-making you dizzy
Your most fundamental needs
become a deep infection
You feel, no matter what,
every contradiction
You feel demeaned and even driven crazy
The outline becoming hazy
Until you can no longer make out
your own intentions
A fractured mind is a doorway in the cruel
Dark night of knowing what adds fuel
To this ferocious bonfire of not enough care
It’s nobody’s fault yet they’re all guilty
and it’s not fair
how most can adapt to that kind of malaria
and who starts out pure of heart
feels they turn evil with that
dogma of convention
